New Immigration, Residence and Protection Bill debated in Dail Eireann
The controversial Immigration Bill was debated in the Dail yesterday (6th October).  Live web coverage of the Debate via RTE showed about ten TD’s present in the Chamber while Labour’s Pat Rabbitte addressed the issue.  The provisions of this Bill will have a direct affect on the lives of thousands of immigrants here in Ireland and on those who arrive here in the future.  The attached article from the Irish Times reflects some  the unease that the contents of the new Bill is causing.  Read more
